Генов распределение независимое — независимое, совершающееся по законам теории вероятности распределение генов, локализованных в разных парах хромосом, по гаметам во время мейоза (см. Мейоз). Если у особи с генотипом AaBb гены A и B и соответствующие им аллели а и b локализованы в различных хромосомах, то образуются 4 типа гамет в равных количествах: AB, Ab, aB и aabb. Независимое распределение генов может быть ограничено феноменом сцепления. Г. р. н. лежит в основе закона Менделя о независимом распределении признаков (см. Законы Менделя).
